A seductive TikTok Dance Challenge is Inspired by Sam Smith's "Unholy"

On September 22, Sam Smith and Kim Petras finally released their collaborative single "Unholy" following weeks of nonstop social media tease.

Thousands of TikTok producers uploaded videos of themselves dancing to the song's seductive, bass-heavy chorus before it was even released

Even while there are other well-known routines that are being shared on the app, the choreography of 21-year-old dancer Kevin Bannier has gained the most popularity

prompting a challenge that Petras herself has tackled at home. When the deep bass hits, Bannier's dance begins with a seductive strut and transitions into a series of quick movements.

Fortunately, he created a slowed-down step-by-step tutorial after receiving numerous requests from his TikTok fans so that everyone could memorize it before going out.

In the meantime, "Unholy" has been the soundtrack for everything on TikTok, from pole-dancing videos to dramatic outfit changes to thirst traps.

Similar to Amanda Sze's saxophone cover, which received two heart-eye emoji from Smith, other musically gifted creators are performing their own versions of the song with a twist.
